How do I hook up my BOSE speakers/sub to the back of TV??
I have the two standard red/white round cable output ports on the back of the TV, but the inputs to the BOSE sub/speakers are red/black tension buttons where a standard bare speaker wire is inserted. HOW DO I DO this to make it work? Can I cut off the opposite ends of the cabes and insert the bare wires? I tried this, but there is an innner plastic insulated set of copper wires. Can these be inserted as well or cut off or what? Will this even work??

NO WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO DO WILL NOT WORK!!!!!
You need to purchase an audio reciever, then hook up the speakers to the outputs of the reciever, and hook up the audio outputs of the TV to the input of the reciever. What you are trying to do can potentially damage your parts. The A/V connections on the back of your tv do not have the kind of power handling to output to a speaker. You need a reciever to deliver the power to the speakers. also, make sure you buyproper wiring for the job. Because overpowering cables could mean a fire!!!
