What dash kit do I need?
I plan on buying a new single din stereo, but I need to know what type of mounting kit and wiring harness I need. I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado Ext. Cab with Bose speakers and OnStar. I don't have OnStar enabled, but I would like to keep my Bose speakers working. Would I need a special kind of kit and wiring harness because of the Bose speakers? Thanks for any help.
You simply need the GM dash kit for your model and year - if the Bose speakers are aftermarket and have custom wiring you may have to do some splicing, but if they are stock Bose speakers they will be connected right through the factory radio plug - the right kit will snap right into the factory radio plug assembly.
