Will existing Bose Wave Radios become obsolete due to digital transmission, much like older television sets?

TV transmission is transitioning from analog to digital, will this be the case for standard radio's? If so, are we going to be stuck with a prize today, but junk tommorow with our radio?

Radio is using far less bandwidth than TV, so it is not such a big issue.
There is already "HD FM Radio",(or digital radio), but works on top of existing analog radio.
