Dell Studio 15 iTunes & Sound Problem?

I bought my Dell Studio 15 about 3 days ago. It works extremely well, except today I bought some BOSE speakers to get a nice sound out of the computer. When I plugged them in, there's a bit of interference, like a crackling noise sometimes.

Also, I use iTunes to playback my music. When I use Mozilla Firefox to navigate the internet, my iTunes lags and the music starts to be interrupted quite a bit.

Anyone know how to solve this type of problems? The computer's running on Windows Vista 64-bit.
