Do I need a voltage converter to use a Bose Sounddock that I bought in the US? It's to use in Ireland?
I bought a Bose Sounddock portable digital music system in America. Do I need a voltage transformer to use it in Ireland? It says "Input: 100-240V~50-60Hz, 1A" if that's any help. I know I need an adaptor but I'm not sure at all about the voltage, and it's too expensive to just experiment with!
You will need an adaptor, of course (around £4.00/€5.50 - try Amazon) but the input range is fine. The circuitry these days includes limiters which make sure that whatever your input voltage (within the range, of course), you will not damage the equipment.
Just don't let the Guinness near it!
