headphones problem, sound doesn't work in left and right at the same time?
I'm currently using a Bose 2 speaker home theater sound system, so my speakers go into the subwoofer which connects a volume pod with a headphone jack, which goes to my PC through a USB.
So basically headphones 3.5mm jack into -> volume control usb into -> subwoofer usb into -> PC
Before All i had to do was plug in my headphones into the volume knob and everything would work, now however, when I plug it in all the way I only hear in my right ear, when I plug it in halfway only in the left, and when its BARELY plugged in to the point where it's about to fall out, I hear in both ears but at a much lower volume..
What could cause this and how do I fix it? thanks!
are you using the same headphones from before when they worked? do they also have a microphone? it sounds like the connector is going out, if you are using different headphones test them out on another system and see if the same problem persists, if so then your 3.5 from the headphone is designed differently and probably has more connectors than it supposed to have.
