Bose: MusicMonitor vs Companion 2 series II vs Companion 5?

Which has more bass?
Which can go louder?
Which distorts less?

I currently have the Bose Companion 2 system which is great but I wanted to upgrade... I listen to a lot of music and I like bass a lot, but I also like highs and mids to present as I'm not a total bass head, which system should I get. And I only want Bose... and don't give the "you can get more for your money" crap. I like Bose, which one should I get? And I'm not getting the C3's.
I've listened to Cerwin-Vegas speakers, JVC speakers, the BeatsBox and many other branded speakers... still like Bose.

Lol, I won't try to change your mind. I'll just tell you what I did.

I previously owned a Companion 5 system, hated it, and bought a pair of speakers for half as much from an American brand name that are twice as good. Just thought I would let you know. I won't even mention the brand name I got, because you don't want to hear it. I'll just say they were $200, they're made in the USA, and their cones are not made out of paper... try Woven Kevlar. All for half the price. If I hadn't already smashed that old Companion 5 system I would send it to you, literally. It was that worthless to me.

I used to like Bose, I really did. I thought nothing could beat them. I tried another brand name, boom, confidence shaken. That first other brand name was JBL, and an $80 speaker from them completely walked all over what I had bought from Bose for hundreds more. I nearly cried for my bank account.

Anyways, Bose sounds good until you try something else. It's all relative. As long as you don't listen to a real speaker any time soon, you'll still be happy with your Bose. All power to you.

Btw... one of those American-made speakers is pictured in my profile picture.

Don't read below if you don't have an open mind.

If you did decide to change your mind... AudioEngine A2... excellent speakers built right here in the USA. M-Audio AV40, also amazing speakers. Both are better than Bose, and cost half as much. I will guarantee you, hands down, that either will sound better. That is an absolute guarantee, 150%, no doubt, hands down, as sure as can be. If you don't believe me, keep the receipt to the AudioEngines or M-Audios... you can always send them back. You won't though.
