How can I prevent RF interference from Plasma TV with my Bose Lifestyle 30 remote?
I have a Bose Lifestyle 30 sound system which I have connected to my Panasonic Plasma TV. When I switch on the TV, the Bose remote (which is an RF remote) works only if I take the remote to within 2 inches from the receiver.
However, If I turn off the TV, the Bose remote works from all over my house. I am not sure if there is some kind of interference for the RF coming from my plasma tv that is interfering with the Bose's signal.
Another strange thing is that this happened only after I wall mounted my TV (which I did about four days ago). Until then, I had the TV on the floor and the Bose receiver was directly behind the TV and it worked perfectly fine!!!
I tried using Ferrite Chokes, I tried changing the remote code of my Bose system and also replaced the batteries of my remote - but with no avail.
IF anyone knows anything about what could cause this interference, please let me know. Thanksssss in advance!!
See if there is a way to change the frequency of your remote, and check as many cables as you can to make sure that their shielding isn't worn. If you find a spot use wiring tape or replace the wire. Try it out. Good luck!
