Question about 1999 Nissan Maxima?
I am 16 years old, and I was wondering if this was a good first car. Is this car quick for it's class? I know it's considered a sports sedan, so I am wondering how well the car handles, and how well acceleration is. I have the lowest model, idk if it's gle or gxe, i think gxe, but it has most of the se options. It has the fog lights, the bose stereo, things like that. It also has an anti-theft thing( little side question. It has the theft thing, but it didn't come with keyless entry. Can i get it for this car, if not, idk how to make the alarm go off, or shut it off if it does go off.) So tell me what you think about these cars, and their performance. Also, are there good mods for these cars? Thanks guys.
A 1999 maxima is a great first car. It should last you a little while until your ready to buy another car, if you keep up with the maintenance. The handle isn't too bad, just keep in mind your getting a Z. For acceleration, its actually pretty quick, having the 3.0 V6 under the hood. Your actually getting a decent amount of power, and you really won't waste a lot of gas, depending on where and how often you drive. As for the remote, you should be able to get one, I dont see why not. But, just to be on the safe side, take your VIN# and go to the nearest Nissan dealership and they will tell you if it has it or not.
