Updating my home theater?
I currently have a Bose Lifestyle 35 series 2-3 with the jewel cubes. I would like to buy a pioneer vsx-1020 7.1 receiver and a Polk psw10 powered sub. I'm going to use jewel cubes for the front, center, and rear, and bose 321 speakers for the sides. I want to know that all of these components will sound good together and work in Sync. I have altered the wires for the Bose to be installed in a regular receiver. Thanks for the help, Bobby!
As long as the speakers are the same or below the power output rating of the amp and they're the same ohm rating then you'll be fine. Meaning if the amp has an output rating of 100W per channel and 8ohms then youll need to make sure that the speakers are rated at 100W or below with an ohm rating of 8ohms. Satellite speakers are almost always below 100W so I reckon you should be fine. The sub doesnt matter because its got its own amp and all you'll be doing is sending a signal to the sub.
