Is there any difference between the bose around ear headphones that are sold in a box and plastic casing?
i know the ones in the box are not fake, and i know that the ones in plastic case are not fake... so my thought was that the only difference may be retailer, or the time they were manufactured.

as long as the models are the same whatever it came in doesn't matter.
