Plugging in Mac Speakers?
I have 2 BOSE desktop speakers that worked fine with my old PC. On my new MAC I plug them in and it takes over the sound but now I can't hear anything. When I take them out, I hear the sound out the Mac's speakers! help!
Check your sound settings in System prefs>Hardware> Sound>output. Move volume slider up. or make sure the mute button isn't checked.
have your bose speakers got an on/off button?
Also check that you plugged them in correctly to the right slot with the earphone logo.
