Does anyone know how Denon AVR-486S A/V Receiver Performs? I Cannot find any online reviews. Thank you?
Basically I'm looking for a good A/V receiver(6.1) that is not very expensive, below $300, but sounds good. I currently have a 5 Pc BOSE speaker with Sub woofer and Denon AVR -600 5.1 recvr. The Recvr is old and does not support DTS. I recently bought Pioneer VSX-515S and returned it within hours of usage. It was nowhere close to my old Receiver.
I think you're going to find that unlike the Pioneer, the Denon will sound similar to your older Denon. Maybe a slight downgrade, as the old 600s were a higher-end model than the 486, but not so much so.
