PS3 optical cable stopped working with BOSE system?
I have a PS3 which I connect to my TV via HDMI cable for quality image, and to my BOSE 321 system via optical cable in order to get quality sound. It has been fine for a year when suddenly, last sunday I coundnt hear anything from the BOSE when I turned the PS3 on. I can play any DVD or listen to the raido with the bose; but once I put it on AUX for the PS3, NOTHING. I then disconnected the optical cable from the BOSE, and yes I can hear the sound from the TV; I wanted to make sure the PS3 sound was fine and yes it was. I reconnected the cable again and same problem. I CANT HEAR ANYTHING FROM THE BOSE.
WHat is going on..?
Make sure the PS3 audio output setting is still set to use the optical cable instead of the HDMI one.
