Bose into nonbose Audi A4?
OK so here is what I got. I just bought a bose radio and speakers from a guy who had pulled them out of an Audi A8. The radio is the same as my old one, other than the fact that when I turn it on it says bose. With the radio, I also got all the speakers from the 1998 Audi A8. I have a 1999 Audi A4, and I was wondering whats involved with installing these speakers into my car. My speakers right now are not bose, but the ones I am putting in are. I have the amp, and can get and wire I need, just not sure what all has to be done. Is there already an amp in my car that I need to take out, if so where? Do I need to run all new wires to each speaker, or can I use the ones in place? and what ever other info you got will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
One more thing, I am pretty sure the speakers are the same size as my old ones.
You just need to remove the old speakers and put in the Bose speakers. No need to change the wires.
The speakers will fit perfectly if they are the same size. Speakers made to standards, so an "x" inch will fit were the same size one was previously. Just hook up the wires to the same terminal. If it was on the negative terminal on the old speaker, hook it up to the negative on the Bose speaker. Best to put some masking tape on the wire with the correct polarity marked. You may have to change the terminal on the wire to fit the Bose speaker, no big deal.
