Good music system/speakers?

So I was just at my friend's house, and he had the Bose Wave music system. It sounded amazing. Unfortunately, I would have to spend 500$ to get my hands on one.. I decided to find an alternative music system/speakers for my room (the speakers on this powerbookG4 aren't so great). I looked into other bose systems, and sony as well, and couldn't narrow it down.. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Check out Cambridge Soundworks Systems. They are a little cheaper and awesome!
