How to connect Wii with a home theatre system?

We have Bose 321 system plus a component cable (Wii) for HD hookup. How do we hook up the 5 cables for the Bose system? What video input do we select to run the Wii system? We've connected the cables but cannot get the Bose to recognize the Wii so we can select on the tv.
We connected the component cable to component 2 in the back of the tv. The Bose is connected to component 1. The Bose shows up as DVD on the input selection list but component 2 remains greyed out (unselectable) and we still can't play the Wii. :-(

Have you checked all of the AV channels, if not go to the store you go it from.
