Hooking up Bose bookshelf speakers to tv/apple tv?
I have a vizio HDTV and an apple tv, and I recently got a set of Bose 201 bookshelf speakers. My hope is to set it up so I can play music through the speakers utilizing the apple tv AirPlay capability as well as play tv sound through the speakers. I admittedly am less than a hundred percent tech savvy and am wondering how I can best make this happen
If I need a receiver, any suggestions on ones that would work well? Assuming somewhere in the 2-3 range
Easy. You just need an AV receiver or stereo amplifier to power the speakers. You cannot connect the speakers directly to the TV or Apple TV.
By the way, Bose sucks, so while you are looking for a receiver to power the speakers, you may want to buy some better speakers as well. Seriously, Radio Shack has better speakers than Bose. Don't believe the hype.
